In five paragraphs, describe the ways you see the filmmakers utilizing the oppositional gaze. I expect you to discuss at least three of the following in one and half page: race, gender, sexuality, politics, rituals, global forces, societal norms, class, etc.
*It will be helpful to reference “How to Read A Movie,” Corrigan Chapter 2 “Beginning to think, preparing to watch, and starting to write,” as well as the Film Literacy reading from last week and start to apply these terms. Look for ways in which the filmmaker purposefully creates meaning by specific choice of design.
